From Giggles to Graduation: UKG Kids Stealing the Show!

St. Monica English Medium School Celebrates Its First UKG Graduation Ceremony

St. Monica English Medium School marked a significant milestone as it hosted its first-ever UKG Graduation Ceremony with great enthusiasm and joy. The event, held on 26th of March 2025, was a heartwarming celebration of the young graduates stepping into the next phase of their academic journey.

The program commenced with an introduction given by Mrs Irene, followed by a melodious entry of students with music along with the Chief Guest Mrs Fanita Jenifer Mishra, Principal and founder of Mystical garden, Pre-school Kasargod, our beloved Manager, Rev. Fr. Melwyn D’Souza, Principal, Sr. Ancy Mathew, our  Vice Principal, Rev. Fr. Suraj Joseph Lobo, PTA class representatives Mrs Zainaba and Mrs Bhagyashree.  Vice president of parish pastoral council Mr Raju Stephen Dsouza and Nursery teachers Mrs Meenakshi and Mrs Priya, that set a joyful tone for the event. A prayer song and intensions was conducted by our students, seeking blessings for the little graduates.

The Principal’s address highlighted the importance of early education in shaping young minds and congratulated the students on their achievements. This was followed by a welcome dance, adding vibrancy to the event.

A special floral welcome was extended to the esteemed guests, making the occasion even more memorable. One of the key moments of the day was the certificate distribution, where each young graduate proudly received their graduation certificate, symbolizing their successful completion of kindergarten.

The event also featured a photo session , capturing the precious moments of the day. The students then took an oath, led by Vice principal Fr Suraj Joseph Lobo promising to uphold the values instilled in them at school.

A delightful performance of action songs by UKG A & B students was met with applause from the audience. The children’s skit showcased the creativity and confidence of the young learners.

Teachers performed a moral  skit, adding a fun-filled element to the program.

Mrs Archana gave an introduction of our chief guest and all the dignitaries honoured for the remarkable achievements and contributions.

As part of the celebrations, a guest speech inspired students and parents alike, emphasizing the role of early childhood education in holistic development. The manager’s speech further reinforced the school’s commitment to nurturing young talents.

Manager addressed the gathering regarding the programme and progress of our institution.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs Sonia, followed by the rendition of the school anthem, marking the end of a memorable day.

The first UKG Graduation Ceremony at St. Monica English Medium School was a grand success, bringing smiles to the faces of students, management, staffs and parents. It was a proud moment for the school as it continues to provide quality education and foster young minds for a bright future.
